8 EZ STEPS | Limited Edition Portfolio
A limited edition portfolio made in 2015 in conjunction with Gusmano Cesaretti's exhibition 8 EZ STEPS held at These Days in November, 2015. The portfolio consists of sixteen 8x10 silkscreened prints housed in a handmade wooden box with silkscreened fabric covers. Each portfolio consists of a series of eight images shot in close-up of a woman progressively shaving her pubic hair. For the portfolio, we screened two of each image, one a monochromatic red and the other green. Both have narrow white borders, creating a color theme intended to reference the flag of Cesaretti’s home country of Italy. A velum page with a series-inspired poem by Cesaretti's friend, writer Sam Sweet, displays the series title and edition number to start off the portfolio.
